What is a Penny Sale? Buy 25 tickets for $1.00 at the ticket table as early as 10:00 am. Doors open at 12:00 noon so you may place tickets in the cups for the items you wish to win. Winning tickets for the Penny Sale are drawn and announced starting at 7:00 pm. Winners must be present during the drawing to claim their Penny Sale prizes. More tickets will be drawn until a winning ticket holder comes forward. Drawing ends at approximately 10:00 pm, and it’s a fun evening for the whole family! Over 300 prizes include housewares, dolls, toys, and gift items for the whole family and pets, too. Numerous gifts and gift certificates from area businesses will be awarded throughout the evening. A Gently Used Clothing & Linens Sale will be held snow or shine Thursday, February 11; Friday, February 12; Saturday, February 13 and Thursday, February 18; Friday, February 19; Saturday, February 20 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the East Hampstead Union Church located at 225 E. Main Street, Route 121A, just south of Route 111. A selection of used clothing, shoes, accessories, curtains, bedding, pillows, tablecloths, towels, etc. A large selection of women’s plus sizes available. The sale will feature a diverse selection of costume and craft jewelry, watches, and other items of interest. A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held on Thursday, December 24 at 4:00 PM. Pastor Paul A. Sweet and the congregation invite the community to a celebration of traditional holiday carols and inspirational readings. A freewill offering will be taken benefiting Retired Ministers and Missionaries. All are welcome. Ramp accessible.

The 2015 Annual Christmas Market will be held Thursday, November 5; Friday, November 6; and Saturday, November 7; Thursday, November 12; Friday, November 13; Saturday, November 14; Thursday, November 19; Friday, November 20; and Saturday, November 21 from 9 AM to 2 PM at the East Hampstead Union Church located at 225 E. Main St., Route 121A, just south of Route 111. Items include handicrafts, angels, holiday decorations, pillows, collectibles, novelties, wreaths and gifts for pets. A cookie walk, soup & sandwich luncheon, baked goods, and refreshments will be available throughout each day. Proceeds benefit the Operating Fund of this historic church. The Sandown Community “Giving Tree” will also be displayed at the fair to help local families make ends meet this holiday season. Help fulfill a child’s or senior’s gift request that has been hung on the tree. Return gifts to the church before Christmas. Chair-lift accessible.
